Now its ready for my final bondo work (little voids ect that need filling) and some last sculpting to get the lines right across the grown area.

Hello all. Sorry about the really... really long delay. Life happened.... Ive picked up the helmet and have the splice section bondo and sanded and I'm about to do the second filler and sanding. I'll post pictures tomorrow...

Ok, the rough fiberglass filler was applied. Tomorrow I will file and sand it back down to see where it needs more filling. Filling dried very fast and I am glad I did not mix it all up at once.

Ok. the next step in the process is opening up the lid a bit. I cut it into three pieces and started splicing it together based upon my head and shoulders. And we end up thus.

For my build that is still in progress, I started with my inner robes first, then am working outwards. I took the burgandy fabric to stores looking for red outer rob fabric to ensure the best match/contrast.

Ok. I think the inner robes are done. I had my wife measure twice and she swears the hem is 3 inches from the ground.

OK. This is what I came up with as a idea for the obi. This is still a work in progress and I didn't want to sew up the edges to get a 3-4" wide obi till I was sure I was on the right track. The middle is an inch wide.

Hello all. Sorry about the delay. Work and grad school got the better of me. Now that the semester is over I can start up work again. I was about to hem the sleeves and bottom of the robe but I figured the hems could change once I got my obi on. So getting to that, the standard is 3-4 inches wide ...

Ok, this is a minor detail, but how long should the sleeves on the under robe tunic be? Left or right? I have the right hand pinned a little shorter....
