I think I threw together a decent rough draft of the inner robes, bought supplies for a home made force pike, bought a kickass force pike from a fellow Protector, ordered mah bucket, and now I'm gearing up for a run through of the outer robes...

I will strive to make an oldschool prop as a side project, the same way I would love to make an E-11 out of a Sterling, or find some of those old flash things to make lightsaber hilts with.

I'll just hem mine comfortably and hope for the best. A small slit and hem would make it easier to get on and off. I don't want it to look unfinished or to leave the neck opening too big.

What is the consensus for the shaft? Pool que, ski pole, conduit?

The grips, smooth plastic?

Chalk this one up to n00b mistakes and assumtions. The more I look, the more I realize there is no choice... velvet is the only wat to go.

For the inner robe, what have people been doing for neck lines? Collar, no collar? How availiable are set photos of the guards with no hemets?

I read on the CRL that a neck seal can be added (level III) for helmet off pictures... any refrence pics for this?

Has anyone had success dying boots red that werent red to begin with? Finding red suede boots for a size US 12 online has proven to be dificult.

Also, Has anyone made there own boots? I know soles and red suede can be purchased, they just need to be put together.

I've been reading a bunch of stuff regarding inner robe materials, liner materials, and possible changes to the CRL standards. Before I pull the trigger on 10+ yards of fabric, may I ask for an up to date ruling on what is acceptable?

I plan on starting my inner robes first.
