Extra detail as in the straps, rivets and ring? Yes those will all be gone with a few cuts.If cutting takes out the extra detail and you are left with the basic boot you will be fine.

If I cut off the straps, are these boots okay for AotC?
I found these boots today and they appear to match the CRL. If I remove the straps of course. They have no decorative stitching, square toe and a conservative heel. I don't want to buy them and discover they aren't right. What do you think?
