ROTJ Belt

In the CRL picture, there is a thinner, darker-colored belt over the main sash or obi. It looks a bit like a ribbon. Is this mandatory? What is this made from? Any sources for these? Thanks!

Its a burgundy rope sash. You can find 1/4" cords that can wrap around to make a mini sash.
