Hi All,

the CRL states that the boots have to go over the ankle of the wearer, does this mean that a chelsea style boot, without the velcro inserts would be acceptable to clear?

If the boot has no ornamental details on it. Those would be fine. Chelsea boots normally have the U detail. So a solid boot is prefered.

yeah there's no velcro u on these, they are solid leather all around.

As others have stated the boots will pass. You hardly see them with the burgundy thawb on that goes down to about 3 inches from the floor. The CRL states you can wear jack boots that go to knee also, which I wear for Tie Pilot costume.
