I'm guessing, just guessing at this stage that the helmet is going to rub on the chest and back, quickly wearing the paint away.
What are people doing to combat this? Foam/Rubber strips or something?

Use felt on the underside of the helmet to reduce the friction of the two surfaces.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. I'll buildup up a section at the front and rear lips, install some felt or something and go from there. See how it holds up...
